Narrative projections

In June 2021, I exhibited with fellow artists at the Gollan Kulturwerft. My installation was titled “Narrative Projections.” I had placed the shards of a lead crystal bowl on an overhead projector. The projection covered the floor, walls, and ceiling. Three large-format information boards presented the viewer with a narrative: the glass art of the Freda family, a story about a family of glassblowers from Murano. Or an old film from Japan that tells the story of a glass bowl restorer. And last but not least, a wedding ritual from Argentina. The fictional narratives explore our preconceptions about the cultural characteristics of peoples and regions. All narratives were additionally set to music by speakers, thus completing the documentary style.
