PanAmericana

PanAmericana is a series of photo-slides for a projector, each work combined of several slices. I cut the slides in slices and rearanged them – like in Patchworks Of The Past. The original slides consists of two series: A vacation in Sousse, Tunesia, the mother of my oldest daughter made as child in 1979 and slides from the US, taken back in the 1960ies. The Combination of both worlds first show rather peaceful arrangements, then more and more the color red gets dominant. For me, a foreshadow of the things to come, of all the blood between these two cultures.
